THE KOLLEL OF HOUSTON

The Kollel of Houston, Houston’s premier Torah study center, was established in the winter of 2010.  The Kollel was founded by local rabbinic and lay leaders, in partnership with Bais Medrash Govoha in Lakewood, New Jersey. The Kollel was formed with the goal of serving the community as a venue for Torah study and Torah scholarship, at all levels.

At the heart of the Kollel are its avreichim – budding young scholars engaged in the full time pursuit of Torah study. The presence of committed Talmidei Chachamim in the community serves as a paragon to the centrality and the relevance of Torah in Jewish life.

The Kollel feels privileged to be part of a community with a strong commitment to the corresponding ideals of Ahavas Hatorah and Limud Hatorah. In the broader scope of its mission, the Kollel endeavors to serve as a vital communal resource for the growth and enhancement of Jewish Houston.

Both on-site and off-site, the Kollel’s sessions and programs offer up-close access to accomplished scholars and a host of learning opportunities. We invite you to come and experience the inviting atmosphere.
